Firefighters have tackled a fire at the Walkers Snack Foods plant in Leicester.
Crews were called to the factory in Bursom Road, Beaumont Leys, just after 7pm yesterday.
The blaze involved a “quantity of residue oil behind machinery”, according to the fire service.
A spokesman said: “We had a bit of difficulty moving the machinery to get to the fire but did so with the help of maintenance staff at the factory.
“Cooling jets were used to prevent the fire spreading and workers were moved to another area of the plant for their safety.”
After putting the fire out, firefighters stayed on the scene until 9.22pm to ensure it was safe.
