Mrs Mike's

Butch Mordick bought the Mrs. Mike's Potato Chip Company in 1971. The company still operates out of the same building today, but the staff has grown to six, including Butch’s sons Matt and Dan.
Mrs Mike's Potato Chips has also added other products during that time and built a world-wide customer base.
Mrs Mikes uses over 2,500 pounds of potatoes every day to make their Chips. They are first placed into a hopper that washes and sorts the potatoes. Once they are cleaned and sorted the potatoes are peeled and sliced before they are placed into the cooker. Once in the cooker, they are fried at 300 degrees.
In 2005, the company invested in additional machinery and now included in those other products is own brand Cheese Popcorn, which is made on site.
In 2008, the company added the Freeport Pretzel Company, to its portfolio. It had and continues to provide Pretzels that have been popular in the Freeport area for decades.
Butch says, "Mrs Mikes have been my passion for over 40 years, we will always make sure that you receive the chips you love and they will always be "Fresh as a Daisy."
