InalecsaInalecsa was founded in 1972, to develop industrial baking products. The company launched with Inacake, Bony, Tigretón and bizcotelas, which immediately found popularity in the local market.
The company’s first manufacturing plant was opened in 1979. Within four years, with market conditions favourable, Inalecsa ventured into the production of base type snacks; principally, maize and plantain snacks. In the short years after this, Inalecsa developed floury wheat tortillas and corn taco shells, forming the family brand Inalecsa with Mama Fanny. In 1998, the Rosquitas launched Cassava snacks and Potato Chips within the Sarita framework. The quality of Inalecsa’s products have enabled the company to maintain a position at the top of Ecuador’s snacks market. The company’s reputation has allowed it to expand into the international consumer market, with exports to North America and Europe. |
