A Nose Plunge Test revealed no smell at all. Were there chips in there? A peak confirmed their presence. There was a mildly salty potato flavouring that was not exactly enhanced by rather tasteless oil, but the chips were very much as described on the bag. Traditional and ‘Naturel.’ (16) |
Croky Paprika Potato Chips
A Nose Plunge Test revealed a meaty smell. There was nothing particularly peppery about it. The taste was also surprising. There was a similar meat flavour. There was no identifiable paprika seasoning, but they still managed to taste a little paprika inclusive. Mostly though, it was a sort of greasy meat flavouring. (10) Croky Bolognese Potato Chips
A Nose Plunge Test unveiled a beef stock type of aroma. The flavour was very mildly spiced beef. It was like a beef stock drink. Bolognese, as a description, would take a significant stretch of the imagination. That is not to say they were not tasty, they just were not as described on the bag. (13) |
