Feast & Fury Creamy
Horseradish Craft Chips A Nose Plunge Test served up a clear and distinguishable horseradish smell. Not too tart, and nothing like its Japanese cousin, wasabi, but mildly horseradish. The keyword on the bag was ‘Creamy,’ which enabled them to make a mild and soft horseradish flavour that mixed well to provide a balanced and moreish combo with the potato. The description was spot on, and you can't ask for more than that. (17 *) |
Feast & Fury Habanero
Hickory BBQ Craft Chips There was a mild barbecue smell when I opened the bag. There was also a barbecue rub sort of taste to them, along with a spicy backdrop. Nothing significant, but apparent. A nice, but somewhat mild, hot, and spicy aftertaste. (17) |
Feast & Fury Smoky Ghost
Pepper Craft Potato Chips After first trying the habanero version, I was looking forward to these. Texas does provide some of the world’s best spiciest sauces, so I had faith. There was a slightly spicy and certainly smoky aroma. While jalapeno and chipotle have distinct flavours, ghost pepper is not something people readily try – I certainly don’t, anyway. So, I can’t honestly say I am aware of a distinct flavour. However, there was a smoky heat to a very spicy potato chip, just as there should be with such a hot pepper. Definitely one for the hot chip aficionados. (21 *) |
