Once upon a time there was a little company that wanted to make it big in the crisp world. We went to the big guys with our really cool ideas but they didn’t want to know. We got really cheesed off. But then we did something and we did some homework. We got brave, maybe even bold! If the big guys weren’t going to give us a chance then we were simply gonna have to take one.
Most real people prefer real hand-made crisps. Who doesn’t? We love them so much we road tripped all over the countryside to find farmers who cared about their produce, interviewed dozens of chefs and fry masters, learned about the best oils and the science of frying. So we knew where we wanted to go – old school, hand-made, all natural, fresh, best quality ingredients – the good stuff. We learned how to make the best damn potato crisps ever. We simply needed to solve the big packaging problems in our market. 45% of a standard bag of potato crisps is air. When those bags are placed in a case there is another 25% dead air space between all the bags. So more air. When you ship a box of packet crisps, it is very wasteful and expensive because you are shipping lots of air. We thought we could do better, much better. And we did. We went to work as a team, brain-stormed, created, re-created, and even started from scratch all over again. In the end, our team came up with something special. Instead of protecting the crisps with air, we thought outside the box. Our packaging is incredibly space efficient, our freshness foil is 22% smaller than the average packet of crisps and our cardboard box is recyclable. The crisps are amazing to share and enjoy and there will be far fewer broken crisps than in many bags of crisps. |
