At Yorkshire Crisps, we produce luxury hand cooked crisps and pride ourselves in only using quality produce and specially selected varieties of potato and parsnips grown by local farmers. Potatoes are delivered to the crisps factory by tractor from farms just a few miles away. They are batch fried in pure sunflower oil and flavoured with only 100% natural ingredients – no MSG, preservatives, colourings or artificial flavours are used. Our environmental impact is further reduced by sourcing all our packaging from Yorkshire suppliers. We have received a number of awards for our crisps, the pinnacle being winning the snack category of the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards for Excellence, beating off stiff competition from established national brands. As well as supplying farm shops, delis, coffee shops, sandwich bars, public houses, wine bars, theatres and many independent retailers, we are also available in larger multiple retail stores, so now it’s easier for everyone to enjoy our fabulous crisps! In addition to our core of loyal customers we are proud to supply some really prestigious customers too. So, whether socialising with friends, enjoying a London show or flying to your favourite holiday destination, you can enjoy Yorkshire Crisps wherever you are. We even export to nine European countries and as far away as Dubai. We now have 11 flavours in the range presented in our unique 100g drums, which are perfect for sharing between friends, plus a new ‘guest flavour’ – ‘Sweet Cured Ham & Pickle’ – which comes in single 40g bags. Selected flavours from the main range are also available in single 40g bags, 150g large sharing bags and 500g re-sealable catering bags. Convivial adj. sociable, jovial or festive; fond of good company. Moreish adj. having a very pleasant taste and making you want to eat more. Yorkshire Crisps Sweet Cured Ham & Pickle
There was a slightly sweet hint to a strong smoky bacon powdering, along with a mild chutney pickle taste. What was impressive here was the strength and conviction of the taste. (16) Yorkshire Crisps Roast Lamb & Mint
It is often difficult to identify lamb flavour as it is invariably a thick and rich stock that is almost always mixed with mint, as was the case here. ‘Meaty’ rather than lamb would be my assessment. The mint was also evident, which provided the balance. Altogether, not too bad an example. (15) |
Yorkshire Crisps Black Pepper
A Nose Plunge Test did not give much away. Unfortunately, neither did the taste. There was a potato backdrop and there was a little saltiness to them, but the pepper was a little bland. There should have been more. (12) |
