Worldwide Boxed Packaging
The growth of Potato Chips and Crisps in recent years has seen a variety of markets spring up worldwide.
A massive international market includes co-packing. Asian mass producers now produce and package food products for companies all around the world. It is perhaps not too surprising that included are innovative and varied packaging options. One such company are the Yusheng Snack Company, based in Guangdong, China. Included among their clients are Tesco, Carrefour, 7Eleven and Wal-Mart. The box, foil and tray packaging is very popular among international clients. As are the more traditional boxes, as seen below. |
Icelandic company Orflogur retail their baked Potato Chips in unique packaging that opens up into a bowl style carton.

Further unique packaging comes from Hokkaido Aragiri Choco White from Meiji in Japan, who have developed a box that opens up like Fish ‘n’ Chips boxes, but reveals a foil packaged bag for their Crisps inside.

Another example of Potato Chips that are sold in boxes, which are then covered in a cellophane wrapper are Royce Chocolate Covered Potato Chips.
Royce are based in Sapporo, Japan, and they have been producing chocolate covered Potato Chips since 2002. They also produce other boxed Potato Chips. |
