Marcello Barenghi is an illustrator and graphic designer living in Milan, Italy. Marcello developed his talent as a boy and attended the Umberto Boccioni School of Applied Arts "Arte e Messaggio" (Castello Sforzesco) before graduating with a degree in Architecture. Born in 1969, Marcello discovered a talent for art at an early age, and by the age of nine was attempting to replicate the Mona Lisa! |
During the 1970s he was influenced by superhero artwork, and in the 1980s, shortly after developing his work using colored pencils, he adopted different techniques that allowed him to cover large areas with shading. At school he developed a variety of techniques, including tempera, watercolor and clay modeling. By the mid 1980s he was using airbrush techniques at develop the texture and tones of his illustrations.
