CUSHING, Oklahoma - A man who tried to swipe several bags of potato chips pulled out a pistol when confronted by a convenience store clerk, police say. Just before 3 a.m. Friday, Cushing Police received a robbery call and rushed to the Kum & Go convenience store at 2001 E. Main. The clerk told officers a man walked into the store, grabbed five bags of chips, and walked out.

CARDIFF, Wales - A man has been jailed for more than six years after starting a fire which destroyed a crisp factory in Crumlin in September 2012.
Colin William Goulding, 31, from Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, pleaded guilty to an arson charge after a fire at the Real Crisps plant in Caerphilly county.
Cardiff Crown Court heard it took more than 60 firefighters to tackle the blaze with 20 staff led to safety. About 80 jobs were lost.

Emirati AM, 28, is serving a life sentence for helping her boyfriend murder and torture Wadeema, his daughter. The case horrified the nation and led to the creation of a new child protection law.
The woman is accused of attacking a fellow inmate she believed had given her 11-month-old son crisps.

SCUNTHORPE, England - Kerry Milburn, 44, of High Street, Scunthorpe, admitted four theft offences and another of being drunk and disorderly, as well as breaching a suspended prison sentence imposed on July 25.
Rebecca Dolby, prosecuting, told North Lincolnshire magistrates that Milburn stole beer, valued at £4.65, from Tesco Express in Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe, on August 21 and returned there three times on November 29 when he stole a pack of beer, two packets of Scotch eggs and a packet of crisps.
