Already renowned for their premium Scottish potato crisps, Mackie’s diversified into the popcorn market in January last year and have been reaping the rewards since.
Mackie’s launched this exciting new flavour, which comes in a 200g sharing pack, at the Royal Highland Show last week. This allowed revellers and Mackie’s fans a first chance to pick up the latest extension to the Mackie’s popcorn family. Feedback was extremely positive and they sold out of the new product before the show ended on Sunday afternoon.
The new line will be launching exclusively with Sainsbury’s, going in to all of their supermarket stores in Scotland from today.
James Taylor, Commercial Director for Mackie’s at Taypack, commented on the new listing saying: “We are delighted to be launching our new toffee popcorn into Sainsbury’s stores, the popcorn market continues to enhance its popularity within the snacking sector and has grown in Scotland at 14.1% in the past year[1], we’re sure this toffee flavour will be a big hit with our fans.”
