Tyrrells have increased production capacity by up to 50% with an increase in size of its Hertfordshire facilities.
Tyrrells CEO David Milner said, "Growing as quickly as we are, you can quickly run out of space."
700 Coles Stores will be stocking Tyrrells Crisps after the Australian supermarket chain struck Tyrrells biggest export deal to date. Milner confirmed it was not just because Australians ate a similar amount of Crisps as British people, but because there is a massive expat community in the country.
Milner added, "We will be the only hand-cooked Crisp on the market, which is a lovely position to be in."
Indeed it is, but Frito-Lay are watching closely and they usually move similarly quickly. Watch this space.
