
I always had this hankering to be a farmer. I loved the tractors, the husbandry, the crops and the mechanics of it all. I grew up on the farm that I later bought, Tyrrells Court. My parents both worked really hard, my mother doing everything from the accounts to producing specialist chrysanthemums and breeding turkeys for Christmas.
If you want something badly enough I think it is possible to have it. Nobody has a divine right, but you do need an element of luck. Knowledge is far more valuable than money.
