Verdict

We will keep this short and simple. Boxerchips provide an expandable dish-cum-basket-box inside a foil package. It is the most innovative Crisps packaging in the world. The Crisps will be protected from the level of breakage that basic bags will suffer and they can pack more into a wholesale box, thus reducing shipping costs. Brilliant.

Crunch

These Chips, which had a real Kettle Cooked look and feel to them, had a solid and hard crunch. They made a cacophonous sound as a mouthful was munched through.

Texture

Although offering more protection than a giant air filled bag, there were still some broken Crisps in our fully packed little box - someone may have shaken it. The majority were small and curled by the Hand Cooking process. There was a little bit of visible potato skin but not much in the way of seasoning.

Taste

These Crisps were not Savagely Salted, they were mildly salted. Boxerchips might actually need to add a touch of pepper to bring out the Salt flavour further. Regular readers of Chips & Crisps reviews will know we do not consider ourselves great judges of Plain or Ready Salted Crisps. If you are going to make a salty snack that is bad for you, why not add some flavour? Anyway, as far as they go, they will probably fit alongside their peers quite adequately.
