Verdict

We will keep this short and simple. Boxerchips provide an expandable dish-cum-basket-box inside a foil package. It is the most innovative Crisps packaging in the world. The Crisps will be protected from the level of breakage that basic bags will suffer and they can pack more into a wholesale box, thus reducing shipping costs. Brilliant.

Crunch

After hunting around for a whole Crisp, we found a medium sized bag constituent that crumbled fairly quickly under crunch pressure. The Crisps quickly melted, but there was a nice tympanic sound as they were munched. 

Texture

Despite being protected inside a rigid container, there were lots of broken Crisps in our test box. Those that were whole were peculiarly small. There were oil bubbles on the Crisps of varying heights, but most were small. There was a good and healthy outer coating of brown skin on most of the Crisps. There was also copious amounts of salty seasoning around.

Taste

These were among the saltiest looking Crisps we have seen. A quick glance at the nutrition label and this was confirmed, there was plenty of salt. However, strangely, this was not transferred to the taste. It was a mild and not at all pleasant tasting Vinegar and there was no apparent Salt in the flavouring partnership.
