Bag
As with most large snack food corporations, Shearer's have taken a research and development approach to their new packaging. Black with a colour representing different flavors, with an enhanced photograph of some chips. It is very striking and easily spotted on the shelves, but it does lack a bit of character.

Crunch
These were particularly crunchy Kettle Cooked Chips. They were not hard and brittle, or overly firm like some may be. Neither were they soft and smash friendly like regular crisps often are. The crunch was sustained until a whole Chip was eaten.
Texture
Ours, was a fairly characterful bag of Kettle Chips. They did not look or feel greasy. There were lots of irregularly shaped and folded Chips, but they did not look over-cooked. The color was an even dark, brownish yellow potato color. There were some black flecks of Pepper.

Taste
A Nose Plunge Test revealed a mild Pepper aroma. Now Shearer's have been a bit sneaky here. They claim this is Salt & Pepper flavor, and we are sticklers for a flavor combo matching its description. This was a little more Peppery, which would ordinarily get them marked down, but the ingredients list confirmed the taste - there was something warm and different about it: Onion, Garlic and Rosemary are included. To repeat - sneaky. But in a good way. These were very nice Chips.
