Verdict
Bag
The design of the Red Rock Deli bag is dull and unimaginative, but also stylish and modern. If this sounds like an oxymoron, it is supposed to. The basic elements of; the bowl of Chips, a large logo and an ingredient photo in the background, are all there. But this functional nod to the past is counteracted by the quality of the photography, some modern and neat font-work, two tone branding, with the dominant colour being black, plus a hint of flavour colour coding at the top. These bags stand out on shelves and promote a bright and modern brand, while maintaining traditional aspects of product presentation.

Crunch
Corn Chips always feature a different type of crunch to Potato Chips, and these were no different. It was almost like biting into thin crackers rather than Chips. Although there was no brittle crack and crunch follow-up, there was a firm and rigid munch through.
Texture
These were Potato Chip looking Corn Chips, but thicker and more solid looking. There were poppy seeds dotted liberally across the surfaces and the general surface texture was like a bumpy, well used, desert road.

Taste
A Nose Plunge Test revealed a hint of Pepper sort of aroma. There was also the normal Corn Chip background smell. The taste lacked cheesiness but made up for it with a touch of Jalapeno Chilli. The combo did not however blend into the fiery creaminess that we hoped for.
