Bag
The logo is really good but could do with a modern re-design. A one color image with a newly designed font and altered branding would be a start. Old Vienna are the only company that calls their Ridged Chips 'Riplets' so they could make more of it, while making the bag explain what Riplets are! The bag is full of writing - there is nothing inviting to a potential customer when compared to the national brands that sit alongside it.
Crunch
These were hard and tough Chips. Not in a chewy sense - They were thin shatter-ready Ripples of hardened potato slices. A few in one go and the crunch was quite cacophonous.
Texture
There were quite a lot of broken Chips and split areas in the bag. The Chips felt extra crunchy, if that is possible. Brittle, like they were ready to smash at any time. There was a darkish yellowy orange seasoning and although they did not feel overly greasy, they did appear to be firmed up by oil.
Taste
There are a lot of Sour Cream and Cheese Chips available, and it is likely that the regional use of words is a bit misleading, although far be it for us to suggest there was not a clear taste of Wisconsin in our bag! These were a little creamy Cheese tasting, but there was also a hint of salty potato that often brings the flavor out. The Cheese was dominant, but it was a pleasant taste - We would have preferred Old Vienna had continued their theme and added some spice to the mixture and called it something different to the similar offering in their range.
