Verdict
Bag
After Snyder's Lance took Jays Foods over they re-booted the design for the Krunchers! range of Kettle Cooked Chips and made them a standalone brand. A good marketing tool, as is the flavor color coding on this bag. The image of the Chips bursting out of the bag to release their flavor on an unsuspecting world is also innovative and very well graphically produced. The gradual color coding to the top, where you find the company branding works very well, but as a standalone brand, 'Krunchers!' should have its own logo designed.

Crunch
As pretty thick and irregular shaped bunch of Chips. Ideal for dipping and getting mucky. The thicker, double layer Chips were especially crunchy. A firm, rigid, almost sturdy bitefull of crunch. Really noisy when munching a few as well
Texture
Cut more thickly than the average Kettle Cooked Chip, Krunchers! put a fair amount of odd shaped and bent over Chips in my bag. The surface texture of the Chips was like a rocky road, with bumpy lumps but no major oil vesicles. It looked like each Chip had been individually painted with luminous orange powder.

Taste
A quick Nose Plunge Test revealed little except a mild spicy potato smell. There is a lot of chemical sounding stuff in these Chips, including a fair bit of hot sauce related spices and powders. The flavor was a little vinegary, but it included a generally good mix of spices that we would happily plaster over our Wings. The name kinda gives it meaning, but it's not completely accurate. We will just say it's a good, to medium heat barbecue style flavoring.
