Kettle's Discoveries Range is all about weird and wonderful flavours, many of them innovative. It is therefore not surprising that they have gone for a twist on their usual packaging. Each 'Discovery' has a different backdrop, such as a sandwich bag or a chopping board. The logo is bold and dominant and the flavour combo appears in relatively small writing at the foot of the bag. Unfortunately, Kettle have gone for the least creative option of displaying their flavour content - the good old ingredients graphic.

Crunch
As with all Kettle Chips, these featured a welcome slow degradation as the crunch turned to munch. There was an eventual mush stage, but this was evenly paced.
Texture
These were bendy and wavy and not particularly gnarled. They were however slightly green, which made the disrupted oil blistered surface look interesting.

Taste
Okay, here we go... This took four reviewers rather than the usual one. The reason for this was because two out of four thought Caramel and Cream had no placed in a Crisps bag before the review started! What happened however, was honesty, as always took hold and while two out of four thought them awful, two thought them very moreish, and was not necessarily the two former mentioned naysayers. So, as always we will base the star rating on the faithfulness to flavour description. There was undoubtedly a Creamy backdrop, which is nothing new - Sour Cream is often Creamy, as are some North American Cheese varieties. However, what was new, was this undoubted and very noticeable Caramel taste.
