First off, the grammar police were most pleased to see these were called 'Barbecue' rather than BBQ! As a large company, Herr's have a massive range and admittedly they cannot change their packaging every time a new flavor comes along, but while this has a pleasing golden bag, it has a seriously retro (codeword for old fashioned), image and bag design.

Crunch
Thin and crispy. Did not taste overly oily and crunched fairly consistently throughout the bag. The soft but crisp crunch was notable for its averageness. Right in the middle of ratings.
Texture
A pretty standard looking Potato Chip. There was little oil visible but some greasy areas. There was a liberal coating of brownish red seasoning in different quantities over the Chips, but mostly, they were thickly seasoned. There were some slightly browned areas of a few Chips.

Taste
Herr's have a few variations on the Barbecue theme, and these are presumably the standard flavor to which other seasoning is added. It is a basic, mild but tasty, and similarly mildly sweet Barbecue flavor - a bit nothingy. Could be used as the yardstick to measure almost all Barbecue flavors.
