Verdict
Bag
As this is the same bag as the Original flavor, we have included the same write up: Recently updated packaging has seen Deep River keep their traditional logo, while also retaining their star-burst color contrast and the graphic kettle and sliced potato. What they have changed is the main bag color - each different flavor has a bold and striking color packet which will stand out on the shelves. The white bag not only represents a standard, plain, salted Chip very well (with ingredients of just potato, sunflower oil and salt, it is ideally suited), but while many would prefer a flavored Chip, a bright white bag shows off really well among the strong colors of the other flavors - the reduced fat banner also compliments the design very well. The Kettle and potato graphic needs some updating though.

Crunch
These Chips were firm and crisp. An absolute delight to munch upon, apart from the bland flavor. The folded Chips had an especially loud and brittle snap.
Texture
A very lightly colored Chip with some curly and bent over bag constituents. A couple were stuck together, which is not uncommon, but looking through them together only just about saw a color change. They appeared very pale and fresh looking.

Taste
This is a bit of a disaster for Deep River Snacks. For comparison purposes we have included nutrition stats of their Original flavor to compare: Original Fat: 8g (Saturates 0.5g) Lightly Salted: 6g (Saturates: 1g) Original Sodium: 95g Lightly Salted: 105g We won't pretend to be nutritionists, and the Lighlty Salted 40% Reduced Fat version does have 30 less calories in each pack, but surely this means they have more fat and salt than their own Original flavor? They are right about one thing though, they are lightly salted, but by the time we had finished comparing stats we had forgotten about the flavor and Deep River had lost us.
