Verdict

Bag

Another great bag from Brother Kane. The logo sits neatly at the top. The 'Fresh From Our Family Farm' slogan at the bottom explains the background image. Massive writing disrupts the bag somewhat, but as a shelf product it will certainly stand out in stores and supermarkets.

Crunch

More crunchy than Brother Kane's Home Style Chips, but still a little thin to get a good solid crunch going on. A few mouthfuls in and you can tell a crack, snap is a more representative description of the crunch.

Texture

These Potato Chips were perhaps a little too thin to Crinkle Cut. There were lots of broken or cracked Ridged Chips, which isn't really what was aimed for. Marcelled Chips need to be thicker to maintain their profile while remaining whole. The oil cooked bubbles were not too evident, but there was a dusting of a powdery residue that remained on the fingers. It was a rather non-specific color.

Taste

The Baby Back Ribs version seemed to have a more Sweet N' Tangy flavor than the Sweet N' Tangy! They were a bit salty and although somewhat sweet, it was a little too tomato based to make a good version of the description. Pleasant enough, but merely a little mild and inoffensive.
