As usual with Better Made, it seems you get a mix of good designs and really poorly designed bags. This is one of the good designs. It is a regular, plain, original, standard, variety of Chip. It needs a similarly regular, plain, original, standard, variety of bag. The logo seems a little (not a lot) more discrete than on most of their bags. The criss-cross effect contrasts well, and the flavor writing looks right in yellow and gold.
Crunch
The Chips were fairly thin and there were a few broken Chips in the bag, but not nearly as many as there would have been prior to the inflating of bags. They were particularly greasy and melted a little after an initial impressive crunch.
Texture
The sizes of the Chips ranged from tiny to extra large. Skin was visible on some Chip edges, which is always refreshing - it adds a hand peeled impression. There were brownish tinges on some Chips. The golden yellow color on most left a good impression. A little salty and oily, so finger residue needed wiping.
Taste
In many cases you would like to see plain Chips have some salty seasoning added. These were no different, they tasted a little too oily for our liking, despite a warm potato flavor.
