Better Made appear to design three bag flavors at a time. While most companies would undergo a design overhaul periodically, to ensure their image and graphics are appealing to the modern market of that time, Better Made have a few more traditional bags for their traditional flavors. The Barbecue packet features a giant traditional logo, similarly traditional cross-cross patterns and a positive mention of the lack of Trans Fat, but also, weirdly, a flavor description in different colors and fonts.
Crunch
A good solid crunch, with the thickness just about right to get a great crisp mouthful of crunching going on.
Texture
Thicker and with high saturated fat, a little greasy. The Chips were mainly whole and thick, with potato skin visible on the edges. Plus a red dusting of barbecue seasoning .
Taste
They say the nicest things are bad for you and these are no exception. The saturated fat content is higher than many Chips manufacturers aim for, but for every crime is a punishment and the crime here is eating more than one bag, which you may not be able to stop yourself from. They really are a standard bearer for Barbecue Chips. You cannot go far wrong from using Better Made's Barbecue flavor as the comparison. If you find better tasting they will be amazing. Although there was little heat, the taste is so warm and welcoming you will yearn for not just a sunny day barbecue, but that other bag!
