This Bag hits the mark in almost every way. The branding is clear, if slightly larger than necessary. The flavor is dominant. With the current Trans Fat obsession firmly entrenched in the public conciousness, the reassurance that there is none in the bag is welcome. The tie up with their local sports team is also a perfect partnership for a regionally distributed chip. Even the sunburst from the background potato image and a warm potato coloring for the bag are just right.
Crunch
Although they were thin, regular Chips, there were not many broken or cracked Chips in the bag and they were fully crunchable, with a sustained firmness that did not wilt under the pressure of a grease abundance.
Texture
The texture was simple and plain, just as it should be. There was little residue and less grease. The really impressive thing is there were random chips with skin still visible that provided the impression that although mass produced, these were potatoes, real and simple.
Taste
In the UK, they call 'Original' flavor 'Plain', but there was nothing plain about these. The Chips featured a warm, potato taste that lacked a little in necessary salt, but were able bodied companions to a variety of foodstuffs and the perfect Minnesota Twins watching snack.
