Ballreich's are proud of their heritage and retain traditional packaging, and the bold colours do help them stand out on shelves. However, when pitched against graphically enabled, modern rivals... The blue border around black writing makes it hard to read, and to help young people learn the meaning of 'Marcelled' maybe a chip graphic?

Crunch

Ordinarily, a rippled chip will have superior crunch, not this time. The oily nature of the chip diminished it's sturdiness.

Texture

The ridged wavy ripple of Marcelled chips is welcome and alternative. There were not many broken chips which suggests they are thick enough. They did however feel particularly greasy.

Taste

You can taste the salt and the vinegar, with neither overwhelming the other particularly. However, the oily taste undermines an otherwise average version of the flavor.
