Bachman are Pretzel specialists, and the latest design for their Chips bags would suggest the world's favorite snack food is a sideline. Firstly, we have to ask, what flavor are they? We will presume they are plain, natural and unflavored. It doesn't say that directly, but it is fair to presume because the different flavors are in different colored bags. We called this, 'Yellow Flavor'. It does mention the 0g of trans fat and some other positives, such as the whole potatoes and the freshness, but we were left a little mystified by it all.
Crunch
As crunchy as you could expect from a plain, non-Kettle Cooked Chip. They are thick enough and firm to the touch on the tongue before a nice even crunch. Nothing spectacular, just a standard Chip.
Texture
This is the only Potato Chip in the Bachman range that is currently minus ridges. They are thick enough, there is no visible seasoning or residue, and they are indeed, 'Golden' as it says on the bag, so it seemed a fresh and pleasant experience - especially as most of the Chips were whole.
Taste
When you open the bag there is a noticeable potato aroma. The taste is of fresh and wholesome potatoes, with little or no salt and no other seasoning. Nice, but bland.
