Californian company, Granny Goose Foods was founded by Matthew Bar in 1946. In 1993 it purchased the Laura Scudder brand for Borden Inc., but the company was unprofitable. Snack Alliance Inc., acquired the company. Shearer’s Foods Inc., acquired Snack Alliance in 2010.
