Bag
As with most large snack food corporations, Shearer's have taken a research and development approach to their new packaging. Black with a colour representing different flavors, with an enhanced photograph of some chips. It is very striking and easily spotted on the shelves, but it does lack a bit of character.

Crunch
As these Chips were light on seasoning and were standard thickness. They had a very good crunch to them. There was a crisp breakage with all the Chips tested and they did not melt in the mouth.
Texture
Considering these were a healthier option among the Shearer's range of Kettle Cooked Chips, they didn't look it. They were mostly a darkish golden color, with a certain amount of browning. They were also raggedy edged and curled into different shapes. There was a fair amount of visible oil. The Reduced Fat aspect may relate to the time they spent Kettle Cooking because there were very few oil bubbles.

Taste
These didn't really taste of anything but salty, oily warm potato. The sort of Chips that accompany a great sandwich really well, but do not really stand up as an interesting enough flavored Chip on their own.
