Verdict
Bag
It is hard to see what M&S were aiming for with the torn piece of paper graphic. Maybe this was just the notes for a proper design. We do not like to be unnecessarily critical, but the Simply branding is Simply uninspiring, old fashioned and frankly, poor.
.
Crunch
These Crisps did not sustain any sort of rigidity when chomped into. Three bites in and it was all a bit mushy potato.
Texture
Unlike many regular Crisps, these Crisps seemed somewhat flat. There were oil bubbles, but they certainly would not be described as ragers. They were mostly small and unbroken. Unlike the Crisps, which were mostly broken in the bag we tested. The colour was a sort of pale yellow.
.
Taste
A first Crisp was so salty that we were concerned about trying a second. Fortunately, this was an oddity. No others were as salty as this one, but the reality for munchers was these were not nearly 'Lightly' Salted. They were 'Heavily' Salted Crisps.
