Verdict

Bag

This is an impressive bag. It doesn't fit in with any of Herr's other designs, but as a standalone packet, it stands out brilliantly on the shelves. The black and white chequered background also matches up well with the flavor.

Crunch

A standard, plain and regular Chip. Fairly thin and crispy, which provided a shatter rather than an even break when the Snap Test was applied. A handful provided a nice munchful, but they quickly turned soggy.

Texture

These are fairly heavily pepper seasoned regular Potato Chips. There are some blemishes and browned areas, but the Chips are generally fairly light in color. There were a few breakages in the bag we tested, but it is unlikely that is because they were too thin. Although there were also quite a lot of broken oil bubbles on what were fairly greasy feeling Chips.

Taste

The Nose Plunge Test revealed a rather strong peppery aroma. The taste was also a little overly peppery. There was a lot (a lot) of salt as the sodium content suggests on the nutrition label, but the flavor balance certainly leaned towards pepper.
