A Tayto spokesperson said: "Tayto, Ireland’s No. 1 crisp and snacks brand, have launched Tayto Ripples Sharing bags - extra-chunky, extra-tasty, crinkled potato crisps with real bite. "The new Tayto Ripples sharing bags are available in three mouth-watering flavours: 1) The original unique Tayto Cheese & Onion, 2) The sumptuous Sour Cream & Onion, and 3) The tantalising Thai Sweet Chilli." The structure of the deal sees KP Snacks buying the Popchips brand in the UK and Europe but another company, Popchips Inc, will continue to operate separately in North America and other markets. Mark Thorpe, chief executive of KP Snacks, said: 'Popchips is a fantastic addition… and we believe it significantly strengthens our proposition.' The deal comes hot on the heels of KP's recent takeover of Tyrrells crisps. “As a nearly 100-year-old, family owned company, Utz is proud to be affiliated with an institution as great as MLB. We both place a great deal of emphasis on quality, family and tradition, and look forward to finding ways to bring Utz fans and MLB fans closer together,” said Tom Flocco, President and COO of Utz.
