A good bag design. The swirl of the blue color in matt and shiny stands out under lights, which is what Better Made are presumably aiming for. The logo is far too large, especially as it is a traditional logo, which means it clashes with modern bag designs. We like that the Chips are Wavy flavor. Oh, hang on, they are not Wavy flavor. That is the style. So, what flavor are they? Although not clear, and it should be, these are pretty much a Wavy version of the Better Made Original.
Crunch
A bit thicker than some Better Made Chips seem to be (even though they are probably all the same), but this will be down to the Ridges, which if broken, would not work as a marketable product. A nice crisp crunch rather than a firm crunch.
Texture
Some big, some small, some broken, some cracked. A real mix, with a few brownish tinges on some Chips, the positive offset of this haphazard bagful was the potato peel on some Chip edges. The Ridges were narrow, but this firmed up an otherwise thin Chip.
Taste
Particularly oily and as with many Original, or Plain Chips, a bit reliant on the potato taste and flavor to add a purpose. If you have an exciting sandwich to accompany them you may not remember eating them afterwards - a bland sandwich and you might wish you had picked a flavored Chip.
