Verdict

As with the Salt & Vinegar, Better Made have gone with the two tone swirls; one shiny, one matt, which adds a really good effect to a glossy Chips bag. It is also a bright and bold color that you could identify with Sour Cream & Onion. The graphic design however, leaves a lot to be desired. The design team at Chips & Crisps are often left pulling their hair out - why is the wording in three different fonts, four different sizes and three different colors? It makes no sense, and what about the red going into yellow on the flavor description - why? It is a positive that it mentions the 0g of Trans Fat becasue all positives are a selling point.

Crunch

Better Made Chips invariably have a very good crunch and these were no different. In fact, the Wavy texture even enabled a little extra firmness and thickness to the crisp crunch sound.

Texture

'Wavy' represents narrow ridges with this variety. As Better Made Chips are often thicker than some regular Chips, this added to the structure. There was some welcome potato skin visible and a small amount of parsley powder, which left some residue on the fingers after a bag plunge, but not too much.

Taste

Unfortunately these were a bit bland. The flavors were there: Hints of sour cream and especially onion, were noticeable, but the flavor was inconsistent throughout the bag, and it was very mild, if not completely innocuous.
